However, because the Ergobaby Omni 360 is just as good as the 360 but it allows you to use it from newborn stage without the need of an insert, I would recommend you go for it over the Ergo 360 baby carrier.

It’s a yes and no answer.
The Ergobaby 360 is meant for babies 4 months and up with the recommended weight range from 12lbs – 45lbs (5.4 kgs – 20kgs). It is therefore not ideal for a newborn as the panel will be too long. However, a work-around for that is to buy an infant insert like this one which will provide the baby with head and neck support .
Personally, I had bought my Ergobaby 360 for my baby when she was almost 4 months old and I couldn’t use this one anymore. So I really did not need an infant insert at that point and we could just wear her with no problems. However, when I needed to use it for my third from the first week, I bought a second-hand infant insert from a local buy and sell group on Facebook and used that.
That said, the Ergobaby Omni 360 might be a better fit if you are in need of a versatile baby carrier that will grow with your baby from the newborn stage. I recommend the Ergobaby Omni 360 because it has all the great features of the Ergo 360 but as a bonus, you do not need an insert to use it with a newborn.

Top of the list of features is the versatility that comes with this carrier.
There are 4 ways that you can carry your baby with the 360:

Such versatility is great for busy parents and makes it a go-to baby item for different occasions. For instance, the back-baby wearing option can be great for those family and friends hikes. It’s also really suitable if you’ve got chores and your little one is demanding company.
The back-carry is my favorite position when I need to get stuff done and the baby needs me to carry them. When the baby is fussy and clingy, you can also wear them in front facing your chest.
Word of caution: It is not advisable to carry babies below 3 months in the front outward-facing position because their necks are not strong enough to support their own heads at that age.

It features a wide waistband that helps to adjust the seat. For younger babies, shrinking down the seat does the trick. You can then adjust as needed as the baby grows older. The older versions of the Ergobaby 360 have a cotton waistband which attaches with velcro but the newer versions have a lumbar support waistband. Mine had the lumbar support waistband and I loved that it gave sufficient support.
Adjusting the height is also easy. The panel has buttons at the top that you can button down when the baby is young and button them up relative to their increasing weight. It’s worth mentioning that the panel isn’t for supporting the baby’s head but strictly for adjusting the carrier’s length. There’s a nice, comfy head and neck support flap to help with head support.

In addition to the adjustable width and height, more versatility comes with strapping options. You can have the cross (X-shape) or opt for the rack sack (H-shape) offering. This is a plus for families sharing one carrier. Everyone can wear the baby the way they like.

I used mine with 2 babies who were worn regularly and I recently gifted it to my sister to use with her newborn baby because it was still in mint condition. That kind of longevity and versatility is rare to find. Overall, this carrier will save you money.

What I did not like about the Ergobaby 360 baby carrier
Lack of pockets – The most disappointing thing for me with this baby carrier was the lack of a pocket. It made it much harder for me when I just wanted to go for walks with nothing but my phone because it meant I’d have to wear something with pockets or carry it in my hands the whole time. For this particular reason, if I had to purchase a baby carrier again, I’d probably go for the Omni 360 instead of this one.
Difficulty closing and opening the back strap when front-wearing – this was much harder than I had anticipated and most times I would need help from someone else especially with the closing of the back strap.
Other than these, I have been really happy with the Ergo 360 and have had no other complaints.
