A lot of moms in my online circles (mostly Facebook groups :-)) have been asking for name suggestions for unique old-fashioned names that are not so common in 2020. I thought it was a good idea to give the people what they want. So I decided to create this list of 50 awesome old-fashioned baby girl names that are pure classics and sound absolutely perfect.
Since I did this huge baby boy names list and cute baby girl names posts, they have been really popular and a lot of people have been downloading the PDF.
I have a lot of fun creating these lists so let me know in the comments if you would like a PDF printable version of these names too.
From what I’m seeing, the old-fashioned names are going to be the new trend and they really do sound sweet especially when they make you think of your lovely grandma 🙂
When selecting these names I picked the names that have a really nice ring to the name. But then it will be a name you haven’t heard for a while giving it an almost nostalgic feel.
Some of these names can be shortened into sweet nicknames and for some you can change the spelling to give it a little twist.
I hope you find a name that you love or some inspiration for your sweet baby girl:

I hope you enjoyed reading these lovely traditional baby girl names as much as I did listing them. I can’t wait to create another list of vintage boy names too.
My feeling is that at some point we all went for modern names and now the fancy modern names have become too popular and oversaturated. It is increasingly difficult to find a beautiful name that 10 other kids won’t be having the same name in the neighborhood.
I really like that we are going back to the old names now.
Do you have an old-fashioned baby girl name that you love? Leave it in the comments to give other parents-to-be name ideas.
My grandma’s name is Milka and I love it. What is your sweet grandma’s name?
